1. What are the reasons for the low production efficiency of the vertical mill?
1. Material hardness
The harder the material, the more difficult it is to process, and the more serious the wear on the equipment. When the hardness of the material is high, the grinding speed of the pulverizer is very slow, the grinding capacity is small, and the production efficiency is low.

 

2. Material humidity
When the water content of the material is high, the material is easy to adhere in the mill, and it is easy to block during the feeding and conveying process, resulting in the reduction of the grinding capacity of the mill and the reduction of production efficiency.

 

3. Material composition
When the material contains a lot of fine powder, it is easy to adhere to the equipment during the grinding process, affecting the conveying.

 

4. Finished particle size
The finer the particle size of the finished product, the lower the powder yield.


2. How to improve the production efficiency of vertical mill?

1. Start at the source
The material should not be too hard. If the moisture content of the material is too high, dry it first. In terms of processing fineness, the proportion of fine powder should not be too large.

 

2. Start with technology

In addition to the material itself affecting the production efficiency of the mill, the operation of the equipment and the performance of the equipment during the production process are also key factors. So we can adjust from the following aspects:


(1) Stable material bed
A stable material bed is the key to the normal operation of the equipment. If the material layer is too thick, the grinding efficiency will be reduced. If the material layer is too thin, it will cause vibration. The thickness of the material layer can be adjusted by adjusting the height of the retaining ring.


(2) Control the grinding pressure
The vertical mill pulverizes the material by applying high pressure to the material bed. The pressure increases and the output increases, but it does not change after reaching a certain critical value. The increase in pressure is followed by an increase in power, resulting in an increase in unit energy consumption. Therefore, suitable rolling requires both output and energy consumption.


(3) Ensure a certain grinding temperature
Vertical mills generally have dual functions of grinding and drying. In order to ensure that the raw materials are well dried, the moisture content of the milled materials is less than 0.5%, and the outlet temperature of the mill is generally controlled at about 90 °C. If the temperature is too low, the moisture content of the finished product will be large, which will reduce the grinding efficiency and powder selection efficiency.
